Hi there,
I'm thinking of not hiring a car on my next trip down to southeast Florida. How easy is it to get around without a car? What are my options?
Thanks,
Mike

In Broward county (Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood etc) it is very good. I go everywhere by bus, a single journey is $1.25 or 60 cents for over 65's. You can also get a weekly pass for about $10.

Public transport is also not too bad in Miami-Dade county: you have buses, Metrorail, Metromower, Tri-Rail etc
